Cuisinart blender giveaway and dairy review!

It's National Dairy Month! Well, June is almost over, but it's not too late to recognize the benefits that dairy can provide for our bodies. Check out the Dairy Makes Sense website to read up on how to incorporate more dairy into your lifestyle. (Did you know that milk provides as much potassium as a banana? I had no idea!) I also liked browsing through the stories about the dairy farming families. They help to put a face to the people who are providing our milk.
I was sent a cool packet from the Midwest Dairy Council to help promote National Dairy Month and they'd like to provide the same packet to one lucky reader!
Your packet will contain:
o One Cuisinart hand blender (valued at $55.00)
cuisinartblender
o Dairy Makes Sense recipe cards with new tasty recipes to try out with your family
o Dairy Makes Sense apron
o Hot pad
o Cheese knife
o Grocery pad
o Refrigerator magnet
(We've already used the Cuisinart and a recipe card for a new smoothie (peanut butter and banana - I LOVED it.) You all know how much my kids like smoothies and they have been SO happy to have a blender that works again! )

Robby Ball review and giveaway!

Every hear of the Robby Ball? We in the US are finally able to use what Europeans have already fallen in love with. The Robby Ball is a new way of washing the laundry that will save you lots of money AND eliminates tons and tons of potential landfill that traditional liquid or powder detergents can't escape from.

When I first tried out the Robby ball, I was a little skeptical. I mean, how long can those little detergent thingies last inside the ball anyhow? Surely they'd dissolve in a few washes, right?

I am happy to report that after using the ball WAY more than is recommended on the packaging (we have 3 kids that play soccer and 2 cats that can't find the litter box; our washing machine is ALWAYS running), I have yet to notice any real disintegration to the detergent balls! They will last for a year, for sure! Do you know what that means to me? A year without buying jug after jug of liquid detergent? The spillage and wasted soap that I can't get from the bottle is no more! And having my 11 year old do the laundry is WAAAAY easier this way!

Want to try out a Robby ball yourself?

Check out the Oransi site and see if their prices compute into your yearly allowance for laundry detergent. I'm betting that you spend at LEAST 3-4 times that amount over a 12 month period! If you'd like to win one yourself, follow this giveaway's instructions and you may be the lucky winner of your own Robby Ball! I'll pick the winner on Saturday, July 3rd.

Good luck!

CSN giveaway!

It almost felt like cheating. I swear to you, I made myself into a martyr every time I made French toast. The mixing, the dipping, the sweating over the pans that only cooked 2-3 pieces of bread at a time... Oh! The torture I went through to feed my kids one of their favorite meals!!

I won't lie; I milked this favor I did for them. Cooking French Toast was a way for me to garner mucho points with my kids.

So, how am I supposed to groan and moan and mutter and earn those points if it only takes 5 minutes to go from this...

to this? Less than 7 minutes from start to mouth, folks. SEVEN MINUTES. That is not conducive to my master plan!

Oh, so YUMMY, though! And easy! My family is looooving the new griddle we chose from the CSN store website. I am a griddle convert! Goodbye, frying pans!! If you'd like to try one out for yourself, check out their options at CSN with the word "griddle" as your search. While you're there, check out everything else you can find on their enormous store site and see what you might use this $50 gift certificate for or towards!!

That's right. $50 to spend any way you'd like at CSNstores.com! Just follow the directions for the giveaway below and come back on July 2nd to see who the winner is!!

~ visit CSNstores.com and tell me what you might use $50 towards!

Winner of the Disposal Genie!

Harumph. My camera is feeling bitchy lately and isn't cooperating with my desire to, oh, you know, TAKE PICTURES and VIDEOS of my children. Little things like that. So know that I DID do the giveaway drawing and RECORD it even but that my camera is having a bit of a hissy fit and won't let me turn it on for more than a moment or two to DOWNLOAD the video.*

Suffice it to say, that Evan did the drawing for the disposal genie and pulled the name of.....

Anne!

Congrats to Anne! I hope you like the genie!!

*Anyone know of a good but cheap digital camera? Anyone?
