The Lego Friends line has several building sets that are actual BUILDING sets and not just token pink pieces here or there. The set themes include home, fashion design, animal care, and an invention studio to name a few(Though I do wish they weren't quite so pink and purple so that the boys won't call playing house a "girl thing")!
Legoland Discovery Center in Schaumburg has offered this Lego Friends Heartlake Vet set for one reader to help announce their new event, Lego Friends Weekend. So we are recently "into" Legos around here and just this evening finished assembling the last of the small sets received for Christmas and a January birthday. My son is all, "When are we going to Target for more Legos?" I had to remind them that they cost money! I think he'd enjoy the vet set, purple box and all! I've been meaning to check out Legoland in Schaumburg, though we couldn't have made it that last weekend of January.
